U7 Kestrels 29 Oct 2011
Well I’m pleased to have been coach for this morning’s match and can I say what a great game of football the boys and girls played.
We started the match with great determination and speed with everyone playing their part in an excellent first half.
The second half started and we were creating many chances with the opposition digging in with some excellent defending, against our continued wave after wave of attack although Wey Valley also created chances.
Mytchett continued to create chances and won a free kick which all the parents thought was sailing in to the top corner of the net from an excellent taken kick.
In the end a great game played by both teams with the referee having an impeccable game in total control. The referee had the respect of coaches and parents, only stopping the game when necessary for injuries free kicks and she allowed the game to flow.
All Mytchett parents behaved impeccable allowing me to coach the team and direct from the side lines.
The boys and girls ran their socks off and they worked extremely hard as a team working for each other.
The best part of the day came at the end of the match the joy on the faces of all the boys and girls could be seen by the Cheshire cat grins and spraying of water in celebration.
All of us there were proud of the team today and now we have a stepping stone and the belief we can play really play good football.
Well done Jack, Oliver, Ollie, Ben, Josh, Harry, Sammy, Noah and Trinity, you were all superb!!
Steve.
