U8 Kestrels 29 Oct 2011
Respect Award – Will
The Kestrels came up against a good Aldershot side and together they produced a really competitive game of football that was enjoyed by all.
Goalkeeping was shared between Will, Finnlay, Mitchell and Ewan. Unlike some weeks, the opposition kept the Mytchett goalkeepers busy by creating chances. All of them pulled off important saves, and it’s great to think we have 9 good goalkeepers in the team.
There were good performances from all the players. Overall the quality of the passing was better than the previous week, and it’s only because of some important saves by the Aldershot goalkeeper that the Kestrels didn’t score more goals.
When the goal finally came, it was Mitchell who capped a Man of the Match display by getting onto the end of a William cross.
Will won the Respect Award for demonstrating that he listened to what the coach asked during the warm-up! Well done Will.
