Mytchett Athletic FC was founded in 1971 and now boasts more than 400 playing members, aged from as young as 4 right up to and beyond 40. The aim of the club is to promote football in the local community to both boys and girls. Our club motto is “Progress” with an emphasis on fun and good sportsmanship.
Up to the U11s age group we play development football, and from U12s the teams start to play in leagues. We conduct training sessions for all the age groups, enjoying the benefit of floodlit 3G pitches during midweek.
Equal Opportunities
We are committed to equal opportunities for all in our club and have a working relationship with the County Football Associations in terms of child welfare issues.

SEN/Disability Teams
In 2010 MAFC started two Special Education Needs / Disability teams at U12s & U16s, with age ranges from 7 – 16. This has taken off very well with excellent support from Surrey FA. The teams have weekly play sessions indoors at Tomlinscote School midweek and outdoors on local grass pitches. We provide this activity free of charge. For more information please email Stuart Mckay at stuart.mckay@mytchettathletic.com
Mini Kickers
At the weekend we run a morning session for children in Reception and Year 1. For many it’s their first introduction to football and we have a dedicated team of experienced coaches who make the sessions varied and fun for the children. Visit the Mini Kickers page for more details.
Tournaments
Our annual end of season tournament is traditionally held over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. We are pleased to have built a good reputation for a fun and friendly event and regularly welcome in excess of 100 teams. The tournament is our main fundraising event of the year but we also support the local community and through football help to raise funds for local schools and charities.
Partnerships
We are always keen to expand both our boys and girls teams in all age groups and we are always on the look out for new sponsorship. So if you are interested in joining our club or becoming a sponsor and seeing your company name on our shirts, please message us.
Our Volunteers

Clubs like ours can’t run without the support and hard work of coaches and parents. We are grateful for the time and commitment our volunteers put into the running of the club and organising football for the children.
We welcome new volunteers to help with coaching or the administration. Take a look at our Committee Page for some of the ways you can help out.
