Mytchett Athletic 21st Annual Tournament

Sunday 5th and Monday 6th May 2013

This season we are hosting our Twenty-First Annual Tournament, and we would like to invite you to compete in our 5-a-side tournament, which will be held at The Mytchett Centre, Mytchett, Nr Camberley, Surrey, GU16 6AA.

We are pleased that our tournament has long been recognised as being one of the best organised and most enjoyable in the area. For 2013 we will be adding to many of the features that proved so popular last year:

• All competitive age groups will have both a Cup and a Plate Competition, which will allow the majority of teams to participate in a knockout phase (subject to sufficient numbers of teams entering in each age group).
• Tournament extended again this year to include a Disability competition. Email Angie Hutt for full details: angie.hutt@mytchettathletic.com
• U7s and U8s age groups will be a Festival-format as recommended by the FA, with no league tables or knockout matches. All competitors at U7s and U8s will receive a plaque or medal.
• Maximum squad sizes of 10 to allow more of your players to take part.

And as usual we provide the following.

• BBQ selling only top quality butcher’s meat, plus a tea & refreshments tent
• Experienced referees for all matches
• Extended 16ft wide goals for U11s-U14s
• Individual trophies for players from all main competition winners & runners-up (for competitive age groups)
• Team Plate awards for the plate winners and runners-up (for competitive age groups)

The numbers of teams are limited per age group, so we will only reserve places on fully paid team entries and on a first received basis. Some age groups filled up early last year and we had to turn down many applications, so you are advised to submit your entry as soon as possible. The entry fee for this year’s tournament is £30.00 per team.

Tournament Schedule

The 2012/13 season age qualification will apply for respective leagues that each team play in. Games will be played in mini-leagues, typically with quarter, semi & finals to follow, plus a knockout plate for all competitive age groups.
