The 9v9 pitch (above) has lots of areas where the fun fair has been that will take a little while to regenerate. Hopefully will be ok for 17th.
I checked the pitch dimensions. Approx 50 yds wide by 70 yds long.
Contrary to how it’s shown on the layout provided by SHBC, pitch 7B is oriented the same as pitch 9. The approximate measurement is 40 yds x 60 yds.
The newly labelled pitch 7A which is next to the playground is unchanged from last season, and measures slightly smaller as approximately 30 yds x 60 yds.
In view of the above I will predominately assign the U7s to 7A and the U8s to 7B.
No sign of any Respect lines, but I will continue to ask this of the council.

Maybe it’s worth reminding everyone of the FA’s recommended mini-soccer pitch dimensions and goal sizes.

If Respect lines are not going to be marked by the groundsmen, can we mark our own with white line marking spray? Available from all good builders merchants. They will look better than cones but not as good as the ‘real’ white lines.
Good idea Ian. I will see what the response is from SHBC on Monday. If anyone finds Respect lines at their home venues this weekend, please post a message here.
Just had it confirmed by SHBC that Respect lines will be painted in at all grounds over the next few weeks.
The 9v9 pitch has been re-labelled by SHBC as pitch#7C. The mini-soccer pitch plan in the downloads section has been updated accordingly.
SHBC have confirmed that the marking of Respect Lines is in progress and they hope for them to be completed by week ending Friday 30th September. This applies to all SHBC pitches. Please post a message here if your pitch has the Respect Line marked.
