MAFC 21st Annual Tournament Review

We would like to thank all of the teams for supporting us at our 21st annual tournament. At the end of what has been a difficult season for most of us due to the weather, it was great to be rewarded with two days of glorious sunshine. There’s been lots of positive feedback already for which we are extremely grateful, but we won’t rest on our laurels and we invite your suggestions for ways we can improve the tournament further next year.

There are a number of companies and people we must thank, starting with the Mytchett Centre for the hire of the pitches and facilities. Thanks to Ivor Baker Awards for the supply of the trophies, to Woods Butchers in North Camp for the BBQ meats, to DE Photo for their professional photography services, Paul Ibbotson for the PA system, IGB Print for the superb job on our programme, our Ice Cream seller, Gordon, who helped to keep everyone cool over a hot couple of days and last but not least to our referees who did a great job throughout.

Of course, without the help of our small army of volunteers we just wouldn’t be able to stage the event. So to all the parents, families and friends who helped in any small way from car parking, to BBQ, to transporting equipment and even making cakes, a big big thank you!
