Official Opening of the Frimley Lodge Park 3G Pitch

Tony Cottee about to cut the ribbon

Children from local clubs Mytchett Athletic, Camberley Town, Camberley Boys, Curley Park and Frimley Green were invited to the official opening of the 3G Pitch at Frimley Lodge Park on Monday evening.

Former West Ham, Everton and England striker, Tony Cottee cut the ribbon, before taking part in a penalty shoot out with the Surrey Heath Major, Cllr Bob Paton, and later holding a Q&A for children (and parents – who remember Tony from his playing days).

On behalf of Mytchett Athleic, a big thank you to Surrey Heath Borough Council and everyone involved in the planning and construction of this fantastic new facility.
